Calling Our Circle
Hello, I'm Sandra Beggs. Thank you for visiting my site!
I am a Board Certified Dance/Movement Therapist, a Licensed Mental Health Therapist (LMHC), an EMDR therapist, and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional located in Miami, Florida at Miami Counseling & Resource Center. I am passionate about bringing resilience, creativity, hope and joy into the therapeutic process.
I like to create a safe and encouraging therapeutic environment for my clients while we combine traditional verbal therapies like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and EMDR with the expressive arts therapies of dance/movement, art, music, and writing to offer a unique and authentic approach to the journey of healing, growth, and discovery.
I enjoy watching my clients "get better", save and strengthen their relationships, reduce conflict in their families and relationships, set better boundaries, and experience a more meaningful and fulfilling life. Please take a few moments to explore my site to learn more about my methods and to see if this approach seems to be a good fit for you.
See me on
If I don’t tell you enough please know from the bottom of my heart....I AM SO THANKFUL FOR YOU AND ALL YOU HAVE DONE FOR ME. You have blessed my life with so much goodness I cannnot begin to tell you in person because I just overwhelm with emotion.
I feel like I cannot envision a better therapist. You’ve been for me exactly what I needed. You haven’t judged, I’ve felt loved and I’ve felt safe. If I never tell you again - please know that I leave your office often with so much gratitude I can’t stand it. Lol. What a gift!
Thank you for all the work you do everyday to enrich our lives Sandra. You are a mentor for me in more ways than you know. This is life changing stuff. It’s souls you’re healing. God smiles on you. I know it.
"It is my absolute joy to witness you growing into yourSELF."
Dance/Movement Therapy & EMDR
I offer counseling and psychotherapy at Miami Counseling and Resource Center. Offering a blend of traditional verbal therapies and expressive arts therapies, I help individuals, couples, parents and teens, children, and families cope with life challenges and move forward with resilience and hope.
This blog offers a window into the creative process of the expressive arts and psychotherapy. We write updates from personal experiences in individual, couples, family and group sessions. We'll provide links to research and reflections on current writings, as well as tips on connecting with joy, hope and resilience in your personal journey towards health, healing, and growth.
