My Canadian Practice

sandra6.jpg

In 2020 I returned part-time to my Canadian psychotherapy practice, while continuing to work with my clients in Florida.  Being based for part of the year in the mountains, trees, and waters of Vancouver Island, feeds my soul and helps me to balance the vitality and pace of my Florida counseling practice, with the peace of the Pacific Northwest culture and my desire to engage with the community in psychotherapy and the expressive arts therapies.

Serving people on Vancouver Island, in British Columbia, and in Alberta, I am available online and in-person.  My in-person practice is based in Victoria, British Columbia.

Clinical Practice

My clients are children, adolescents, and adults in individual, group, couples, and families.  I endeavor to be culturally informed and respectful of my clients’ choices, values, beliefs, and practices.

I am dedicated to bringing resilience, creativity, hope and joy into the therapeutic process.  I work to create a safe and encouraging therapeutic environment for my clients by combining traditional verbal therapies like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotionally Focused Couples and Individual Therapy (EFT), and EMDR with the expressive arts therapies of dance/movement, art, music, and writing to offer a unique and authentic approach to the journey of healing, growth, and discovery.

I enjoy using psychotherapy, EMDR, and the expressive arts to help my clients "feel better", strengthen their relationships, reduce conflict in their families and relationships, set better boundaries, and experience a more meaningful and fulfilling life. Please take a few moments to explore the information on my website to learn more about my methods and to see if this approach seems to be a good fit for you.
